Adventures with Amethyst

Amethyst is a versatile crystal that has a full spectrum of healing properties and is found all over the world. Amethyst crystals are very uplifting to look at, possibly because of their radiant healing and majestic beauty. Join us as we explore Amethyst at the Denver Gem Show 2022.

I would venture to say that Amethyst, with its purple color is the most popular stone of all. One of the reasons could be that Amethyst is found throughout the world, giving a sense of connection, even unity.

Look at the light dancing on these Amethyst Geodes from Uruguay! And look at the Calcite crystals growing inside the geodes. The purple color comes from the Manganese content, and the more Iron there is in the crystal, the deeper the color purple will be.

You can see Drusy Quartz coating the Calcite crystals in three colors: Clear Quartz, Smoky Quartz and Amethyst. Let’s take a closer look at this Calcite crystal because it’s a perfect example. Each geode is like a fabulous sculpture or landscape.

This Amethyst is more lavender in color. Notice how the color affects your mood. The deep purple is meditative and soothing, the lavender color seems more actively uplifting. From dark to light, Amethyst lends an air of spirituality and contentment.

Amethyst helps us with our personal metamorphosis, activates our crown chakras and brings us feelings of peace.
